Tattooz by Sassy has been in its current location at the Harps Plaza since September 11, 2001.

Dessa Blackthorn LPN, aka "Sassy"

Sassy has been an artist her whole life. She first started airbrushing in 1983. Her airbrush work was spotted in Hawaii by a tattoo artist who convinced her to try tattooing and she has been doing it since 1989. She is a multi-award winning artist and has won nearly 40 awards for her tattoo and airbrush artwork! She specializes in tattoo portraits but can create all kinds of custom pieces for you! Sassy was recently awarded businesswoman of the year by Cambridge Who's Who! She is also a licensed nurse in the state of Arkansas and a published writer working on abook series! Jace has been with us since 2002 when he got his first start in the tattooing industry. His impressive portfolio of artwork allowed him to receive an apprenticeship and he has won many awards for his tattooing artwork since he began working at Tattooz by Sassy! Prior to working here, he had won several state and national awards for his artwork and he had also done a tour of duty in the United States Marines. We are proud to have him in our studio and his bright color tattoos and new school style is a genuine asset to our business!

"Kitty" has been a body piercing artist since October of 2001. She is medically trained and is capable of helping people with healing problems should anyone experience something unusual during the healing of their peircing. She constantly strives to be on top of the latest techniques to provide her customers with new exciting piercings. At Tattooz by Sassy, we use only the best surgical grade steel (316L) or titanium jewelry in every piercing to reduce the chance of allergic reaction or problems with piercings and we offer free help with problems should you experience one. Kitty's expertise allows her to be quick and precise, giving you a positive piercing experience! Rick has also been with us since 2002. He had many years of experience running and working in a shop in California prior to joining us at Tattooz by Sassy. Rick's award-winning style expertise is in stunning black and gray work and delicate lettering as well as large bold black work. His gentle hand and sense of humor can ease the fears of most anyone nervous about a tattoo procedure and his attention to detail keeps customers coming back for more!
